This Study Tour offers chefs the opportunity to meet with José Pizarro himself for an intimate group session at Pizarro; José's restaurant located in Bermondsey. José is a critically acclaimed chef, famous for his Basque food and appearances on BBC 1's Saturday Kitchen. José has also appeared on Sunday Brunch, Weekend Kitchen and The Big Eat. José is an author of several cook books. In Bermondsey, José owns a Basque Tapas Bar and Restaurant.

After meeting at the hotel, the group will take a two minute walk to José’s restaurant, the tour will start with a session with José himself, who will talk to delegates about the restaurants and his concepts. Delegates are encouraged to come to this session with questions prepared in order to get the most out of the experience. During the session, delegates will be given a taster from the restaurant and a glass of wine, whilst delving into the world of Spanish and Basque cuisine. After the session, delegates will go back to the hotel for some downtime before returning to the restaurant in the evening for a 3 course meal. This will consist of various dishes, selected specially for the group’s dining experience and will be paired with Spanish wine.

After the evening meal, the group will retire to the hotel where accommodation and breakfast the following morning will be provided, included in the cost of the study tour.
