Sustainable Procurement

As part of sustainable development, TUCO Ltd aim to embed sustainability within all functions of the business. This means making the necessary decisions now to realise our vision of stimulating economic growth, maximising wellbeing and protecting our environment, without affecting the ability of future generations to do the same.

Sustainable Procurement is a process whereby organisations meet their needs for goods, services, works & utilities in a way that achieves value for money on a whole-life basis in terms of generating benefits not only to the org, but also to society and the economy whilst minimising damage to the environment (Sustainable Procurement National Action Plan).

TUCO Ltd endeavours to embed sustainable procurement within all contracts and framework agreements.

Sustainability has been embedded within all our procurement documents as TUCO recognise that food and sundry commodity choices have potential to influence a healthy lifestyle incorporating: People, Profit and Planet (3Ps).

All our suppliers are important to TUCO Ltd. They too are able to make a significant contributions to help improve and develop sustainable procurement.
