Established in 2004, originally in York, Vanilla Black is a contemporary vegetarian restaurant that offers a menu that challenges vegetarian stereotype dishes, uses unusual ingredients and creates unique combinations of taste and visual impact. The restaurant is recommended in the Michelin Guide and has two AA rosettes. The day starts at 9:30h. at Borough Market for a treasure hunt for innovative ingredients for creating vegetarian menus where participants will work collaboratively to complete the task. We will then go by tube to Vanilla Black and enjoy a three-course lunch selected from any item on the extensive menu. Andrew Dargue, the founder and chef proprietor will talk about the Vanilla Black story which is truly inspirational. Each delegate will be given a small goody bag of unusual ingredients that feature on the Vanilla Black menu.
