Established in 1981, Mark Murphy & Partner Ltd is one of the largest companies of its kind in its sector in Scotland. From its infancy, a successful business has been built to a turnover of some £18m. It is now a part of the Total Produce Group, based in Ireland.
We employ 150 staff, and are open 7 days a week, with an answer phone service in place. Our large fleet of 55 refrigerated vehicles delivers throughout the Central Belt of Scotland, as well as in the Borders, Aberdeen, Inverness and other parts of the Highlands.
At Mark Murphy we pride ourselves on supplying premium quality fruit and vegetables, dairy products and fine foods. Our customer base varies from small coffee shops to fine dining restaurants and hotels. We also supply many fine establishments within Scotland, not least of all Her Majesty the Queen, at Balmoral and also at Holyrood House. The company has been
awarded the Royal Warrant for that particular service.
We deliver six days a week with a back-up Sunday service to Edinburgh City. All of our vehicles have tracking capability, which helps us provide total management of orders.
We are proud of our reputation for fairness, value for money, and efficient and reliable service. Most of our customers have been with us for many years.
All produce is quality-checked on arrival at our depot and again before distribution. All goods are stored within our 38,000 sq. ft. fully refrigerated and temperature controlled warehouse.
We are BRC accredited. We take our environmental responsibilities seriously, and recycle all our cardboard and other packaging.
We pride ourselves in sourcing and supplying the finest Scottish seasonally grown produce and are committed to supporting
local farmers and producers whenever possible. When necessary we also import some of the more specialist produce from Holland, France and other European countries. We have an extensive product list of over 800 different fruit and vegetable lines.
