Overview
Mental Health Awareness Week this year is 10th - 16th May and we're proud to continue this series of free webinars that looks at the importance of nutrition in optimising mental wellbeing and brain health.
Nutrition as a means of both prevention and treatment of mental health, is understood by all and implemented by many. The Food For The Brain Foundation is looking to educate and provide important information to children, parents, teachers, schools, universities, the public, health professionals, food service operators, caterers and the government, thereby promoting mental wellbeing and brain health through optimum nutrition.
This session, delivered by David Titman, is a build on the first webinar's foundational knowledge on general nutrition concepts in relation to supporting overall wellbeing, this presentation aims to go a little deeper into brain health. Attendees will go away with more specific knowledge on key nutrients that are important for supporting brain function and for preventing poor mental health and cognitive function.
David is a registered nutritionist (AfN) with broad international experience in the food and foodservice industry. Currently working in both academic and business settings, he applies a practical approach to implementing progressive nutrition strategies that meet the needs of both businesses and end users. David has led the training and service development for Food for The Brain’s catering accreditation programme since 2015.
