Marina Wegorek
Marina Wegorek is the Founder of ProYouth Nutrition where her vision is to see ProYouth as a brand umbrella where nutrition, health and education all come together to achieve one goal - inspiring healthy choices from grassroots and educate wider society on the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Marina gave up her successful 18+ years in Financial Sector working directly with Executive Board members and senior management, developing and deliver key strategic priorities to start a Nutrition business, when she saw a gap in the market for child and youth nutrition.
Marina’s passion for health and fitness started in her early 20s when she started developing severe backpain which was later followed by digestive disorders in her late 20s. In her quest to feel better Marina starting researching into triggers for her symptoms and how food played a huge role in health and wellbeing. She overcame her issues through change in diet and fitness. She then spent years learning about nutrition, food combining and how it gets digested into the body. Research freak by nature, she became a self-taught health and fitness knowledge source. In further developing her knowledge, Marina worked with a range of leading applied sports and exercise scientists, life science practitioners and nutritional experts. Her quest was to develop and build her own understanding of the human body, with a specific focus on the health benefits of nutrients, how those nutrients correlate with each other and get absorbed within the digestive system. With combined knowledge gained from her 20+ years of self-taught knowledge, working with leading professionals and research scientists Marina has shared her knowledge via podcasts, blogs, and interviews with many leading publications including Vogue (Arabia), Dubai Eye Radio, BBC Radio Yoga Life and …..Marina is also a Great British Entrepreneur Awards Food & Drinks Finalist 2020 and Disrupter of the Year Finalist 2021
