Overview

We are a family run business, based in Billingham with a turnover in excess of £19,000,000. We have 22 vehicles currently servicing 1200 customers across the North East up to the borders of Scotland, making 250 – 300 deliveries per day, 5 days a week. All of our business is repeat business and relies on our ability to form close working relationships with our customers. This has led to our many years of sustainable sales and profit growth and a customer retention rate in excess of 90%. We are part of the Sterling Supergroup, with a buying power of £380,000,000. Their suppliers have contractual agreements in place for volumes and price which we take advantage of. We are able to offer a full range of butchery, chilled, frozen, ambient foods and disposable goods and cleaning products

We work to all prevailing UK and EU Food standards and legislation, including School specific best practice.  We are members of the Association of Independent Meat Suppliers (AIMS), maintain current ‘Quality Standard Mark’ for ‘English’ and ‘British’ Beef and Lamb. We are members of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB)  levy scheme.

We operate from, and stock all products in, our purpose built 59,000 square foot depot in Billingham. We see this as very important as because we operate from one site, there is no shipping from depot to depot from various parts of the country which would add extra cost and increase our carbon footprint.
