Modern Standard Coffee is a young, agile and dynamic UK based coffee roaster. We are passionate about quality, sustainability and the delivery of a premium customer experience in all areas. We focus on providing ‘great coffee for everyone’ without compromise whilst maintaining unequivocal determination to deliver service excellence to our customers, contributing to the achievement of their operational and commercial objectives.
100% of the coffee sourced is direct from producer partners; 35% is purchased from female owned farms or cooperatives, supporting Houston and Hawkes diversity objectives and targets. We can offer absolute transparency on producer relationships and engagement as well as the quantifiable benefits of our trading relationship.
Locally, 84 solar panels on our roastery roof generate 50% of our electricity. We are working towards net zero in collaboration with Climate Neutral and offer BCorp accreditation (pending). We donate 1% of our revenues to environmental causes; this year we donated over £15k to three UK charities.
We are totally committed to supporting our customer commercial objectives whilst maintaining a sustainable trading relationship. We want to support investment, innovation and brand development wherever possible and have shaped our proposition to reflect this objective. Coffee price offers the highest quality and best value, maintaining absolute focus on the specific needs of the client. Core coffee pricing is held for the duration of the fixed term contract based on the annual volumes stated.
